Meet the massage therapists

Our team of therapists are highly skilled and use a variety of techniques.  All therapists work closely with the doctors at Back In Action such that they receive a superior clinical training and have a refined sense of touch.

Alexandra Arbogast

Shortly after graduating summa cum laude from the University of Colorado-Boulder in 2003 (with degrees in English Literature and Community Studies), Alexandra realized that her passion was holistic health and healing. She attended the Cayce-Reilly School of Massotherapy in Virginia Beach where she received over 700 hours of education and experience in a diverse array of massage and bodywork techniques (including Cayce-Reilly massage, swedish, neuromuscular, myofascial, acupressure, cranial sacral, and reflexology). Alexandra has been practicing massage therapy (and loving it) full-time since August 2005. Her massage style is strong yet gentle, and a typical session includes an eclectic blend of relaxation, deep tissue, trigger point work, reflexology, and energy work.

In addition to being a massage therapist, Alexandra is also a nationally registered Integral Hatha Yoga teacher and has been teaching since May 2006. She is also currently working towards certification as a general and family conflict mediator.  Next year, she will be participating in a two-year certification program in energy medicine.
