Chiropractic Sports Physicians
Dr. David A. Berv is the founder and director of Back In Action. He received a Bachelors Degree from Boston College in 1989, a doctorate of chiropractic from Western States Chiropractic College (Portland, OR) in 1996 and a sports physician certification from Logan College of Chiropractic ( St. Louis, MO) in 1998.
Dr. Berv established Back In Action in March, 1998 and has been the primary clinician for the past decade. He has been the team sports chiropractor for many professional sports teams including the Richmond Kickers, Richbrau Cycling, Richmond Renegades, Richmond Ballet, and scores of other individual athletes an all different sporting events. His main claim to fame is the development of a a golf performance consulting company, Custom Golf Diagnostics, Inc. in 2000 (www.customgolfdiagnstics.com) under which the popular InnerSwing Golf Performance Program was developed. With this program, he has worked with hundreds of professional and amateur golfers, including those on the PGA and LPGA tours. He has been frequently featured in golf magazines and has done numerous golf performance programs for specialty groups and organizations in several states. Dr. Berv became a golf teaching professional in 2008.
Dr. Berv is also maintains a fellowship in the International Academy of Medical Acupuncture and is licensed by the state of Virginia to practice acupuncture. This additional postgraduate doctorate certification enables him to practice medical acupuncture in conjunction with sports chiropractic, to provide a broader scope of treatment options for many health care conditions.
Dr. Kyle P. Moran moved to Richmond from St. Louis, Missouri, joining Back In Action in 2005. He received a Bachelors degree in 2000, a doctorate of Chiropractic and Sports Physician Certification in 2003 - all from Logan College of Chiropractic, in St. Louis, MO.
Dr. Moran is a multi-sport athlete and has extensive experience treating athletes. At Back In Action, he has treated many professional and high-level athletes. He has developed a reputation in the Richmond health care arena for working with sports injuries of all types, including the spine and extremities.
